Protect Your Skin with a Professional Skin Check
At The Aesthetic Studio, our comprehensive skin checks are performed by our qualified Dermoscopist and Dermal Clinician, Sophie, using the advanced MoleMax Lite System.
This technology captures high-resolution images of your moles and stores them securely, allowing for accurate monitoring of any changes over time.
If Sophie identifies any lesions of concern, prompt referral to your GP or a skin specialist is arranged for further assessment. Our goal is early detection, peace of mind, and the highest standard of skin health care.

A Dermoscopist is trained specifically in dermoscopy — the examination of skin lesions using magnified, polarised light to see structures beneath the skin's surface that aren't visible to the naked eye. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Dermal Science, a four-year university qualification, and is one of the few dermoscopy-trained practitioners offering skin checks in the Bendigo region. This training allows for a more precise assessment of moles and pigmented lesions than a standard visual check alone.
-
Your appointment begins with a full discussion of your skin history, sun exposure, and any specific spots of concern. Sophie then performs a thorough dermoscopic examination, capturing high-resolution digital images using the MoleMax system. These images are securely stored in your file, meaning future appointments can directly compare against your baseline — critical for identifying subtle changes in size, shape, colour, or texture that can indicate early-stage concerns.
If Sophie identifies anything requiring further investigation, you'll be referred promptly to your GP or a specialist dermatologist for biopsy or diagnosis. Please note: we perform skin surveillance and monitoring, not diagnosis or treatment of skin cancer — that remains with your GP or dermatologist.
